Biographies

Brian P. Donnelly - Chairman and CEO

Brian brings over 20 years of experience in managing software startups to geneticXchange. He founded and was Chairman and CEO of Constellar Corporation, enterprise application integration (EAI) software, which grew into a worldwide provider of data acquisition and management software. An expert in EAI, Brian built Constellar into a multinational company with a client list that included such names as Sprint, General Electric, ScottishPower and London Stock Exchange. Prior to joining geneticXchange, Brian consulted extensively with Fortune 500 clients worldwide. He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science and Bachelors and M.B.C.S. degrees from King's College, London.

Paul Allman - Chief Financial Officer

Paul Allman has been providing financial guidance to both privately held and publicly traded companies for more than 12 years. His experience is specific to high technology and, in particular, enterprise software and pharmaceutical companies. Paul's international finance experience ranges from the U.S. to Europe and from Asia to Latin America. Prior to joining geneticXchange, Paul was CFO of Constellar Corporation. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants and graduated with honors from John Moores University.

Mark Haselup - Vice President, Chief Technology Officer

With 16 years in software development, Mark Haselup brings extensive experience in start-up environments, specializing in enterprise application integration software. Mark comes to geneticXchange from Constellar Corporation, where he was co-founder and Chief Technology Officer. He has worked in a variety of settings as Technical Director and Vice President of Engineering. Mark holds a B.S. in both Chemistry and Applied Mathematics and is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and a Chartered Mathematician.

Melanie Flanigan - Vice President, Marketing

Melanie has more than 10 years' experience building marketing and PR programs, launching companies, and creating new market categories for technology providers in multiple vertical markets and IT fields.
Prior to geneticXchange, she was director of corporate marketing at Yodlee, creator of a unique Content Aggregation Platform now being used by many of the world's largest financial institutions. At Yodlee, Melanie was responsible for all aspects of public relations, branding, and strategic communications. Previously, she ran public relations and marketing activities for Constellar Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise application integration (EAI) solutions. She also served as vice president of Eiler Communications, a public relations agency focused on technology start-up companies working to carve new markets for innovative business and consumer solutions.

Lorrainne Noffke - Vice President, Asia Pacific

Lorrainne has been providing marketing and support services to the private and public sectors for the past 25 years. She has extensive experience in sales, marketing, management and the development of strategic alliances with system integrators and vendors of hardware and software to provide solutions that break traditional barriers.
Prior to joining geneticXchange, Lorrainne represented Constellar Corporation in Australia, New Zealand and SE Asia and successfully provided integration solutions to organizations in the university, government, retail and banking sectors. Lorrainne has held various sales and management positions in Compuware Corporation,Environment Corporation, Jarrah Technologies and Sigma Data Corporation.

Martin Flanagan - Vice President, Services

Martin has over 20 years experience in delivering software solutions and services. He began his professional career at the age of 14 by writing the first educational software for McGraw-Hill commercially available for the Commodore 64. Since that time, he has been a developer of software solutions and advocate of emerging technology adoption.
Martin brings extensive experience in the delivery of data integration projects to the management team and has assisted such organizations as the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Paramount Pictures and the Queensland University of Technology. Martin has held various engineering, consulting and management positions with organizations such as Compuware Corporation,Environment Corporation and Jarrah Technologies.

Tom Zupancic Ph.D. - Chief Scientific Advisor

Dr. Zupancic is a Ph.D. Molecular Biologist with extensive experience in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. Prior to joining geneticXchange, he was Solutions Director for LabBook Inc. where he provided the interface between life sciences research, direct sales and product implementation, initiating relationships with research leaders, identifying informatics problems, and crafting software solutions. He also served as Director of Gene Discovery for Progenitor Inc. There, Dr. Zupancic led the company's gene discovery program using functional genomics and bioinformatics technologies to identify target genes controlling angiogenesis and hematopoiesis. He is co-inventor of the Leptin Receptor and the angiogenesis stimulator, Del-1 (Developmental Endothelial Locus-1) and holds 12 US patents. At the Battelle Memorial Institute Dr. Zupancic developed a broad expertise in Molecular Biology and Life Sciences research, designing and executing contract research projects in vaccine development, receptor/growth factor interactions, and biological production processes. He received his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Indiana University, where he was a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellow. He graduated cum laude from the Ohio State University, with Distinction in Genetics and Phi Beta Kappa.

Todd Laird - Vice President, Business Development

Todd's experience includes over 20 years of international sales and business development in the life science and high-technology manufacturing industries. He has held senior sales management roles with major life science companies including VWR Scientific Products and Baxter International, where he was responsible for building and leading teams responsible for the growth of strategic global business relationships. Most recently, Todd served as Vice President of Strategic Alliances for pioneering B2B life science marketplace Chemdex (later renamed Ventro). He was responsible for creating and developing strategic partnerships with channels, software, hardware, and systems integrators, and was a member of the team during their successful IPO. Todd has a degree in Chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley.
